Shield Bonder/Smiter UW duo
The Build
Equipment:
I have:
Five 15 armor level, armor parts from Kamadan.
Each piece has a survivor Insignia and vitae rune, one pice has major vigor rune.
Totem Axe
+30hp Off hand always or +45hp when Enchanted
Because the key to this build is to have the longest lasting Shield of Absorbtion as possible I did this.
First I put a +4 Divine Favor Scalp on and I casted Blessed Aura on me for 37% longer enchantments. (16 Divine Favor, Protection Prayers 12)
Then I switched to +1 proteciton prayers scalp.
Shield bonder Skills:
1-Protective Spirit
2-Shield of Absorbtion
3-Spirit Bond
4-Spell Breaker{E}
5-Blessed Signet
6-Essence Bond
7-Blessed Aura
8-Balthazar's Spirit
Smiter skills:
1-Vital Blessing
2-Life Attunment
3-Rettribution
4-Holy Wrath
5-Shield of Judgment (if Coldfires are aggroed)
6-Blessed Signet
7-Optional/Blank
8-Rebirth
Logics Behind it:
It seems that
Protective Spirit works first and makes you take 10% of you maximum heath per hit
and Spirit Bond heales you 80hp+ each time when you take damage,
Shield of Absorbtion comes in and negates damage given to you by -5 per every hit.
When Spirit Bond dies off you have only Shield of Absorbtion on you but you will be taking 0 damage until it ends.
The Battle:
Smiter casts all 4 enchantments on the shield bonder and bonder also enchants himself. The smiter moves back to a safe distance while shield bonder tanks.
Tank has Protective Spirit always active. Then cast Spirit Bond on you and after that cast Shield of Absorbtion. After Spirit Bonds ends wait until Shield of Absorption starts blinking then recast Spirit Bond and Shield of Absorbtion. If Protective Spirit starts blinking recast it.
Result:
I cleared Chamber and Ice Wastes several times with this build and it works perfect.
The only limitation is how much can you aggro and still be effective, because the bigger group you aggro the longer it takes to kill them(melee mobs scatter), but you can aggro 4 groups+ of smites and live to see the day.
I would say the big advantage of this build is that that is faster than Famine/55hp build or Trapper Builds. Not as fast as the pre - AI change but still its proffitable.

Possible to solo with this and IW using a scythe, becuase health isn't needed as low sa 55, freeing up the second slot?

Haha, well it took me a good 20 mins to figure out what you were saying but i got it.
Since the negative damage stacks over time (-5, then next hit is -10) Your build would work because after 10 hits your negative damage would be around -50, which will hurt you for a bit but you should be able to get SB back up in time.
As for IW Monk maybe....
SoA
SB
PS
IW
Power Spike
Essence Bond
Blessed Aura
Bals Spirit/Retribution (depending on how much health you want, 55 should go Spirit, and a 580 should go Ret)
(just a thought )

I don't think IW is possible when you have no superior protection and superior divine favor in. (You won't have enough attribute points to get Illusion to 12)
So I think you have to use your 55HP build with IW.

I've tried similar builds, but I'm almost certain that this is not faster than 55/Famine duo... I have both monked and run famine, and famine just blows everything out of the water (sorry SS necros, but famine actually was faster even before the SS nerf on mass pulls).

I'm loving the look of the smiter build. I shall have to do some UW duo with this sometime.

Thought I would bump this. This build is nice, specially because you can take a monk hero. Get them to put all the smite enchants etc on you and then put their flag by the ghosts and go off and tank everything from the first room without even moving Tahlkora (or Dunkoro). I only really ever found farming fun if it was with other people that I play with regularly, but this works fine and takes absolutely no effort to control the hero if you want to do it on your own with minimal effort (the most you have to do is move them when you go to next area).
The free slot in your build I either use blood ritual (if I'm too lazy to used blessed signet) sig of judgement as energy is always 0, or I think it was ether signet, the mesmer one where you gain energy if you are under 5 energy, just to give hero a quicker way to get some mana to use Shield of Judgement. But to be honest I am yet to find an elite that I even have the smiter use for this build as not annoying the coldfire is so rediculously easy, just the 4 enchants is enough really, and rebirth if you're not used to farming uw yet.
Anet will stop it somehow eventually though, maybe making dying nightmares into deadly nightmares that are level 35 with hunger of the lich, jagged crystal skin and impossible odds or something hehe. But for now, nice build

I stoped uding this build because I need to get my characters trough NF, after I'm finished i will start farming for new armor set .

Me and My friend have used this build in UW and it works great. The coldfires take abit longer though.
Concerning FOW which skills would u replace with SV and AV. We can't seem to kill the guys b\c the monks keep healing them so these would help alot.

Well I took out Balthazars Spirit, and took SV.
Smiter took Bane Signed and Signet of Judgment.
After I aggred them all, I brought them to the monk and then activated SV for 14/15 s. After it expires if the monk isnt dead Bane Signed and SignetOJ is your friend.
About the colds, try NOT to aggro them, the only thing I can think off :S.
